Job Summary: Insurance Producer/Agents reports to the Director of Commercial New Business with the function of gaining new customer relationships, collecting account information and selling new and renewal business for the agency.

Functions include but, are not limited to:

  • Lead generation through networking, cold calls, and other means of gaining new customers.
  • Work on call-in and website generated leads.
  • Gathering information and documents from prospects and customers.
  • Create and complete insurance applications for new business and renewals
  • Submit quote requests to the New Business Assistant and work with them to get the best quote option.
  • Gather any necessary additional information during quoting
  • Present and sell insurance to prospective businesses through a consultative and advisory approach. Report bind orders to New Business Assistant.
  • Gain customers interest in Personal Lines and refer all accounts to the Personal Lines Department
  • Cross Sell Individual/ Group Life insurance to all opportunities.
  • Help customers through claims, talk through endorsements and be an advisor during the policy term and at renewal.
  • Work with the Service team to maintain the accounts during the term and offer the best renewal option.
  • Collect down payments when necessary.
  • Collect all signed forms needed to bind accounts.
  • Use sales and AMS systems to document activities and client communications.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Work well independently and with a team.

Job Requirements:

  • No Insurance background required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2 years sales experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
